Amanda Anisimova recently gave fans a rare glimpse into her diet, just days after responding to a fat-shaming comment.
Anisimova was last seen in action at Wimbledon, where her campaign ended in the fourth round with a 6-3, 2-6, 3-6 loss to Madison Keys on July 4. On Wednesday, the American shared an update on her diet, revealing that she is eating salad kits almost every day. Taking to her Instagram story, she posted a picture of the salad and wrote:
“I’ve been eating salad kits almost every day, am I gonna die from this thing? I think it’s too late to stop now anyway, am I the only one?”

She also added a poll asking her followers whether they eat salad kits. Later, after seeing the responses, Anisimova shared a selfie and wrote:
“All the girlies are saying yes💅🏻 we’re in this together.”

Following this, she posted another Instagram story featuring a fan’s reaction to her salad posts, who asked what a ‘salad kit’ was. Responding to the message, the American wrote:
“A valid question.”
Just a day before this, Amanda Anisimova also responded to a fat-shaming comment she received after posting a pool selfie on Instagram. One follower wrote:
“She needs to lose weight. She’s too fat. This isn’t the physique of a professional athlete at the highest level. She’s a good talent with great potential but she needs to start taking better care of herself. She needs a strict diet and start to exercise a lot. Even her friend who’s not an athlete is in a better shape.”
She gave an unbothered reaction by uploading a picture of herself enjoying herself at the pool, and replied:
“How your comment finds me:🥹😗🥱”
Amanda Anisimova made her feelings known about her defeat at Wimbledon
After losing to Madison Keys in Wimbledon’s third round, Amanda Anisimova reflected on her loss during her post-match press conference. Admitting that she was disappointed with her performance, she said she had done everything she could to prepare. When asked about how she planned to bounce back from the upset, she said:
“I don’t know. Normally, I’d be motivated and would just look at it as another opportunity going forward. But after the last few months, it’s really hard to see a silver lining, because it’s been really, really tough. I feel like I’m doing everything I can and working really hard. So for my game to still be at this point, it’s really hard to digest and take,” said Amanda Anisimova.
She added:
“For me, it wasn’t enjoyable to play out there today with my tennis being like that. It was really, really tough. And when I’m happy and I’m enjoying it, it’s when I’m able to play my tennis. But when I’m not able to make one forehand in the court, it’s really, really hard. So, I don’t know. I need to go home and take some time and figure out how I can fix this.”
Amanda Anisimova was the finalist of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, where she lost to Iga Swiatek.
