Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal & Paula Badosa Revel In Joy As Spain Stuns France To Reach FIFA World Cup Final

As Spain now heads to the FIFA World Cup final, Spanish tennis icons Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, and Paula Badosa have joined hands to laud the Spanish national football team for a stunning victory against France. Each took to their Instagram to share their excitement with millions worldwide.

The semifinal match between La Roja and France took place at the Dallas Stadium. The opening part of the match remained calm as players mostly just passed the ball over to one another while looking for small openings. However, after several minutes, Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal scored the first goal of the match, and then during the second half, came the second goal by the Spaniard Pedro Porro, ultimately ending the match with a 2-0 victory against France.

Celebrating the win were Spanish tennis players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, and Paula Badosa. Alcaraz posted an Instagram story where Pedro Porro is seen embracing his teammate. Alcaraz wrote:

    “Long Live Spain.”

Spanish legend Rafael Nadal also put an Instagram story to display his patriotic pride following the team’s win. He captioned the post with pure emotion, writing:

“Off to the World Cup final! Congratulations, @sefutbol! What a source of pride!”

Paula Badosa also came in with an Instagram story, saluting the team and adding an emoji of the Spanish flag beside the news of their semifinals win.

With this win, Spain has secured their first FIFA final in 16 years. They also previously eliminated Les Bleus at the UEFA Nations League 2025 semi-finals.

Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal & Paula Badosa’s Achievements Representing Spain In Tennis

As in football, the tennis world also sees a few tournaments where players represent their country at the highest level. The most prominent among them would be the Olympics, where Rafael Nadal & Carlos Alcaraz have raked in the glory.

Nadal has two gold medals to his name in the Olympics, one in singles and one in doubles, winning the former in 2008 and the latter in 2016. Alcaraz, meanwhile, has one silver medal to his name, winning it at the Paris Olympics in 2024. Badosa, however, has not won any medal at the tournament as of yet.

Then, there are the team competitions, separate for the men and women. At the Davis Cup, Rafael Nadal has won five titles for Spain, while Alcaraz has never won the title in his career yet. Once again, Badosa remains trophyless for Spain at the Billie Jean King Cup.
