Ryan Day Looking To Secure Back-to-Back OSU Recruiting Wins As Recruit Shares Cryptic Message

After cancelling his visit to Georgia, five-star running back David Gabriel Georges is still in the market, but one school in particular may be in the driver’s seat. The Ohio State Buckeyes got a massive hint at where Georges might play, and this comes after they offered his teammate and roommate at Baylor High School, Jordan Darren.

Shortly after his teammate received his Ohio State offer, David Gabriel Georges posted this, which may make Ryan Day’s day:

“Neighbours to roommate to teammate???! LETS GOO!!!! MY DAY 1!!”

This does not confirm that he will be going to Ohio State yet, but this may be a hint that he may be deciding to go there. Right now Ohio State is prioritizing to recruit him and should Ryan Day secure David Gabriel Georges, his Baylor High School teammate Jordan Darren might soon follow, but that is not a guarantee, as it just makes the likelihood of getting two high school teammates to sign together more likely.

For now, David Gabriel Georges, who is part of the Class of 2027, ranked No. 10 overall and the No. 2 running back in his class (247Sports Composite) has not decided on where to go. For now, it seems that he has already eliminated Georgia from contention after he cancelled his official visit there, though Kirby Smart still has a chance, albeit a small one.

David Gabriel Georges Explains Why He Snubbed Georgia

As for my the No. 10 prospect from the Class of 2027 cancelled his official visit to Georgia, David Gabriel Georges spoke with On3’s Hayes Fawcett and explained why, stating that he does not really see himself playing under Kirby Smart at Athens.

“I just wanted to focus on other schools that fit what I’m looking for better,” the 5-star RB said. “Recruiting is a big decision, and I felt it was best to put my energy into the places where I see myself the most.”

For now, he has only officially visited three schools, and they are Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Ohio State, with these three schools being seen as the three major contenders for him. Ohio State may be getting the upper hand after that Instagram Story he posted, though that is still not yet certain.
