According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Purdue 2024 football schedule is the second hardest in the Big Ten conference. Furthermore, the Boilermakers are judged to have the 10th most challenging slate of games in the entire nation. It begins innocuously enough, with an FCS matchup against the Indiana State Sycamores, but gets much tougher quickly.
The Boilermakers have a Week 2 bye before welcoming the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to Ross-Ade Stadium. They then make the trip to Corvallis to face an Oregon State Beavers side that may have lost their head coach and a ton of talent but will play a rugged game that will still provide a stern test before the Purdue 2024 football schedule turns to Big Ten play in Week 5.
Thankfully for the Boilermakers, that road game against the Beavers is their only journey to the West Coast this fall. However, the Purdue 2024 football schedule contains five road games in the Big Ten, including a trip to Columbus to face an Ohio State Buckeyes team set to challenge for a national title. Consecutive road games on two occasions also don’t help.
