The Sherrone Moore affair scandal over at the University of Michigan has gotten even more complicated as his alleged mistress, Michigan Wolverines football team staffer Paige Shiver, sat down with ABC News for a special interview. There, she admitted that she got pregnant with his child but complications from Pompe Disease led to her getting an abortion.
She stated that she wanted to keep the baby but had to get an abortion if she wanted to save her own life. Shiver added that Sherrone Moore told her that she had to do what is right for her body, so she went through the abortion.
This happened back in 2022, right in her relationship with Moore. They had been in a relationship for a long time, even though he was already married. She previously denied that she had a relationship with him during an interview with the university human resources department but has now fully come out after this year’s incident.
She had reportedly broken things off with Moore, but this led Moore’s mental state to deteriorate and led him to stalking her. She soon admitted to the affair with the school and reported him for stalking her, leading to Michigan firing him. However, the day he got fired, he broke into her house and threatened to harm himself, with this incident leading to his arrest.
Despite the affair going public, Moore’s wife has publicly stood by him and even accompanied him to his court appearances where details of his affair with Shiver were discussed.
Other Michigan Football Staff Aware of Abuse Sherrone Moore Was Giving To Paige Shiver
During that same interview, Paige Shiver revealed that a lot of people in Michigan knew about their relationship despite them not stating it publicly. She also revealed that they also knew that Sherrone Moore had been abusing her behind the scenes.
“They knew the things that he was doing to me and no one did anything about it because they cared more about winning football games, not having another scandal, and trying to protect the head coach,” she said.
Shiver has since left the University of Michigan and admitted in the interview that she was disappointed that he only received probation for his actions.
