Stockholm Diamond League 2026 Results: Melissa Jefferson-Wooden Wins as Local Icon Mondo Duplantis Suffers Shock Loss

The fifth stop at the Stockholm Diamond League saw unprecedented track and field action as the athletes set themselves to make it through every round of action to ultimately reach the finale of the Wanda Diamond League, set for action in Brussels. From the 100m showdown to the 400m and 100m hurdles for men and women, Bauhaus-Galan delivered an unforgettable night of action.

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden has finally won her first 100m race of the year in 10.84. The win was credited as being her best 100m season opener. She had earlier lost to Julien Alfred in the 200m in Rome on Thursday but managed to grab a startling win in Stockholm. She left behind Great Britain’s Amy Hunt, who has at least managed to bag a personal best of her own by placing at number two in 10.97 seconds.

Elsewhere, in a shocking turn of events, local favorite Mondo Duplantis, the pole vaulter, suffered a startling defeat by Australia’s Kurtis Marschall, who won with ‌a clearance of 5.90 meters. The Swedish star was riding high on 40 consecutive wins, but as soon as he went to break his record for the 16th time by aiming to beat his previous best mark of 6.31, Duplantis failed to hit the bar at six meter marks in all his attempts.

He got off to an uneven start by hitting the 5.60 mark on his first attempt, and despite soaring back during his second attempt by clearing 5.80 m, Duplantis was unable to hit the six-meter mark. He failed to clear 6.00 m and 6.05 m and ultimately finished second to Marschall.

Here are all the results from the thrilling Bauhaus-Galan action.
