Olivia Dunne stole the spotlight in an all-black outfit while accompanying her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, to an MLB event. Dunne met the Pittsburgh Pirates’ pitcher, Skenes, on the LSU campus, and they started dating soon after.
Skenes made his debut for the Pirates in May 2024 against the Chicago Cubs. Following his debut year, he was honored with the National League Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year award. He recently attended an MLB function with the former gymnast in New York.
He wore a beige checkered coat while Dunne opted for a black satin dress. She paired it with minimal jewelry, including hoops, a watch, and a bracelet. The social media star completed her look with a leopard-print handbag. She shared glimpses of the night and her outfit on Instagram. Sharing a selfie with her beau, Dunne wrote:
“MLB AWARDS WKND.”
Dunne and Skenes made their red-carpet debut at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. While Skenes had worn an all-white suit with a black tie, Dunne opted for a champagne-colored long dress.
Olivia Dunne Opens Up About Finding Freedom While In A Relationship With Paul Skenes
Olivia Dunne once spoke about experiencing freedom while being in a relationship with Paul Skenes. She said that while she had to compromise on her personal life in her past relationships, that wasn’t the case with Skenes. The couple respects each other’s careers and goals. Being a former gymnast, she understands Skenes’ determination for baseball.
“We don’t restrict each other from doing things,” she said (via PEOPLE).”I’ve been in relationships in the past like that, where it’s almost like you have a leash on you, you can’t do anything. But he has a job to do and I have a job to do. That’s so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize,” she continued. “So yeah, we just have a good time and it’s a two-way road.”
Since retiring from gymnastics, Dunne frequently attends Pittsburgh Pirates’ MLB games, about which she said:
“I’m trying to go to as many baseball games as I can. I really just enjoy watching him and he’s always on the go. He’s an athlete, so I get it. I get the grind.”
Dunne was present with Skenes when he won the Rookie of the Year and NL Cy Young Award.
