The Nebraska Volleyball team achieved an extraordinary feat at the end of 2025, with no players leaving the team amid the transfer portal. Kenna Cogill, Teraya Sigler, Ryan Hunter, and other players confirmed their return to the Big Red Team before the transfer portal closed.
The first transfer portal concluded on Jan. 5. After claiming 33 consecutive wins, the Huskers team ended their 2025 season on Dec. 14 with a defeat against Texas A&M in the NCAA regional final. Although the Huskers’ quest for the NCAA Championship title ended with a loss, they earned a rare success by closing the transfer portal with zero exits for the second time.
Players announced their decision with freshman Kenna Cogill, writing:
“So blessed for my redshirt season ❤️ thank you so much @huskervb see you next year.”
Teraya Sigler also expressed her gratitude for being part of the team and confirmed her return to the team, led by Dani Busboom Kelly.
“The lord has truly blessed me with being a part of such a historic team and coaching staff. Praise Jesus for he is good ALL THE TIME. See yall next year!!! ❤️❤️,” Sigler wrote.
