Nebraska Huskers’ Andi Jackson and Harper Murray Share Heartfelt Words After Colorado Win and Chadron’s Warm Hospitality

The Nebraska Huskers just swept the court with a 4-0 volleyball win against Northern Colorado, which prompted captain Andi Jackson and hitter Harper Murray to put forth their heartfelt reactions. Both praised the team efforts, alongside highlighting Chadron’s exceptional hospitality.

The Nebraska Huskers have had a spring to remember, starting with a dominant Iowa win and replicating the same against the Blue Jays. The Huskers traveled all the way from Lincoln to Chadron for their final matchup against NC, which saw more than 1,600 tickets sell out in just 147 minutes. This prompted the Huskers to ensure that everyone received the experience they paid for by turning the court into a high-voltage reel.

With towering performances from seniors and freshmen, the Big Red beat the Bears with 25-21, 25-18, 25-16, and 25-21. After the match, captain Andi Jackson took the stage and spoke about how special it was for the team to be part of a sold-out exhibition, thanking the crowd for their good cheer.

“Chadron is amazing, and this has been an awesome experience. These last 24 hours have been so special, so thank you for supporting us, and thank you for supporting women’s sports,” she said.

Harper Murray spoke about the warm hospitality of Chadron State College’s Chicoine Center and mentioned how much it has meant for the entire team’s morale upgrade.

“We see how much they care when we come out here, and we see how much effort they put in. So it makes us feel really good, so it’s really cool to be here,” said Murray.

With a startling conclusion to the spring, the Huskers have now set high standards for their upcoming seasonal bouts and exhibitions, which will see the Nebraska Huskers develop into a momentous high-stakes campaign.

Nebraska Huskers Coach Dani Busboom Kelly Talks about the Team’s Spring Development

Nebraska Huskers coach Dani Busboom Kelly has already made a statement throughout this season, helping the team get acquainted with her dominant play style, along with helping design experimental systems that could be an aid during crucial matchups.

During the post-match interview, Kelly spoke about how effortlessly every player replicated their practice sessions into every spring match they have played, highlighting how it makes the Huskers stand out.

“The main thing is, some of the players that have had great springs that translated into matches, and that’s not always easy to do, because you play great practice but when you play in a match type environment, that can go away, so I’m really proud the players who stepped up in practices and performed on the three matches,” she said (1:13).

She also joined Andi Jackson and Harper Murray in congratulating Chadron for organizing the event and praised the hospitality of the small town.
