The former Nebraska player, Maisie Boesiger, recently revealed that she broke down into tears after watching her former team’s spring match on TV. She wrapped up her collegiate career after the 2025 NCAA Championships.
Boesiger joined the Nebraska volleyball team in 2022 and, throughout her college career, played as the libero for the team. She was last seen in action during the 2025 NCAA volleyball championships, where the Huskers produced a dominant performance, remaining unbeaten throughout the season until the regional finals. They entered the regional finals with a perfect winning streak of 33-0; however, the streak ended at the regionals after a loss against Texas A&M.
This marked the finish of their season and the finish of Boesiger’s collegiate career with the Huskers. Following this, she has been hosting ‘SheSports the Podcast,’ which launched in February 2026. The former libero recently posted a video on TikTok, where she revealed an incident, admitting that she was sobbing in a store watching Nebraska’s spring match on TV.
“Something that I was not expecting to be as sad as I was, was watching some of their first spring games on TV and I was literally heartbroken, crushed. I don’t know if you saw the video that I put, I was watching the game in the car with my sister and my mum, we were shopping, and we actually walked into a store, and someone was like, oh, May. How do you miss playing volleyball at Nebraska? I know they’re playing right now. That was the video of me sobbing in the store, and that’s why. OK watching it on my own, I would tear up, but I would sit in the backseat so no one could see, and I could just push my tears away. But once someone actually asked me the question, it was wraps,” said Maisie Boesiger.

Boesiger is now exploring a new chapter of her life, as she recently bought a new house with her fiancé, Nolan Schwarting. They are now all set to get married on July 31, 2026, in Palmyra, Nebraska.
Maisie Boesiger reveals everything she misses about playing volleyball in Nebraska
In the aforementioned TikTok video, Maisie Boesiger also revealed the things she misses the most about playing volleyball at the Nebraska volleyball team. Highlighting that she has now been away from the court for a full spring season, she opened up about how much she missed her team and the sport. From being around her teammates to beach practices, she said that she missed them all.
“Now that it’s been a full spring season of me not playing volleyball, let’s talk about some of the things I miss the most about playing volleyball in Nebraska. The number one biggest thing that I noticed almost right away is just how much I miss seeing everyone and being around everyone every single day. Really weird transition because everyone goes home for Christmas break, and then everyone goes back and then I just didn’t, and I was seeing everyone’s stories of them starting to get back to campus and going to beach practises. I just miss them all, and I miss being a part of it so much,” said Maisie Boesiger.
