Jordan Lucas recently opened up about his courtside presence at the Major League Volleyball Championships finals, revealing the prize money. The championships finals will take place on May 7 – 9 at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, hosted by the Dallas Pulse.

Lucas was last seen in action on April 23 against the #3 seed UC Irvine, during the Outrigger Big West Championship. This matchup took place at the Bren Events Center, where the latter team produced a dominant performance, claiming a 3-1 victory and ending CSUN’s regular season. During this game, Lucas registered eight kills; however, his team fell short of progressing further.

Days after wrapping up the regular season, Lucas recently posted a video on Instagram, confirming his courtside presence at the MLV Championships. Revealing the names of the competing teams, he said that the Omaha Supernovas, Indie Ignite, San Diego Mojo, and Dallas Bulls will be battling for $1 million prize money. Exuding excitement about the championship, he said:

“Hey, guys, I hope you all are doing well. I want to let you all know that I will be in Dallas, Texas this week for none other than volleyball, of course. I will be at the MLV championship happening May 7th through May 9th in Frisco, Texas at the COAmerica centre. This event is going to be major, and I mean, like, Super major, OK.  I’m so glad I get to be a part of it. There are only 4 teams left, the Omaha Supernovas, the India Ignite, the San Diego Mojo, and the Dallas Bulls. They’re all going to be battling it out for the $1 million prize. Yes, $1 million is on the line.  I mean, to me, in my opinion, that’s a lot of coins,” said Jordan Lucas.

    He added:

“OK, so I’m wondering what team is going to have the league cut them that check, OK.  But on a more serious note, the energy is going to be unmatched. I mean, these women’s, women’s volleyball players are phenomenal athletes, and just, it’s a can’t miss experience.  I, once again, I will be in Dallas for the championship, May 7th through May 9th.”

On May 7, the first semifinal match of the MLV Championship will take place between No. 1 Indy Ignite and No. 4 Omaha Supernovas. Following match 1, No. 2 Dallas Pulse and No. 3 San Diego Mojo will face each other in the second semifinal. The teams winning in these matchups will lock horns against each other in the finals on May 9.

Lucas recently went viral after the commentator, Charlie Brande, made a distasteful remark against him.

Jordan Lucas opened up about his first thoughts after listening to Charlie Brande’s controversial remark

On April 9, 2026, during CSUN’s matchup against UC Irvine, Lucas celebrated his performance by signaling No. 1, raising his finger. Immediately after this action, Charlie Brande made a controversial remark about him, stating that the player should be punched for his antics. He said:

“I’m amazed Jordan Lucas hasn’t been popped by somebody. The antics he’s making under the net, it’s very distasteful,” Brande said.

This incident made rounds all over the internet, drawing immense backlash towards Brande and also leading to his removal as a commentator for UC Irvine’s men’s volleyball broadcasts. Shortly after this, Lucas spoke to ABC News Live, where he revealed his first thoughts after hearing the remarks against him.

“My first thought was kind of like, wow. Kind of had to like look at the video again and kind of hear it again cuz I was kind of distraught in a way that someone would say that, you know, on live broadcast of television about another athlete or just a person in general. What I’m doing, you know, is fine because on the other side of the net, they’re doing the same exact thing, but just more in like a masculine way,” said Jordan Lucas.
