Nebraska volleyball players Harper Murray and Ally Batenhorst shared glimpses of the time they spent together in the offseason.
Batenhorst posted a picture of Murray and herself enjoying drinks at Martha’s Hermosa. Here is a snapshot of the story:

Murray and Batenhorst are gearing up for next season. Both players were last seen in action during the 2026 spring volleyball season. The season commenced on April 11, when they met Iowa State at Sioux Falls in the Stanford Pentagon. They claimed an impressive 4-0 sweep.
They concluded the season on April 15 against North Colorado at the Chicoine Center in Chadron. The Huskers maintained their momentum and once again registered a 4-0 sweep.
Harper Murray weighed in on her inspiration for playing volleyball and representing the Nebraska volleyball team
In August 2025, Harper Murray spoke to Hail Varsity about various topics, including the culture under John Cook, fan support, and more. She also opened up about her inspiration for playing volleyball and representing the Huskers, paying tribute to Jordan Larson.
“I think over time, I didn’t realize how big volleyball was, specifically in Nebraska. as I’ve gotten older and volleyball’s grown, I’ve seen it more and more. But I think I always knew I wanted to be here. there were other schools that caught my eye at the time, but I really think that it was Jordan Larson. Like she obviously wasn’t a coach here at the time, but she was always the volleyball player that I idolized growing up,” said Harper Murray.
Nebraska’s 2026 schedule was just released. The Huskers will host the Iowa Hawkeyes, Ohio State Buckeyes, Minnesota, UCLA and Wisconsin, among others.
