Harper Murray, Andi Jackson Headline 8 Nebraska Volleyball Players Chosen for Elite National Team Camp

The University of Nebraska volleyball program continues to cement its status as one of the nation’s premier talent pipelines after eight players, led by stars Harper Murray and Andi Jackson, were selected for the 2026 Women’s National Team Collegiate Training Camp run by USA Volleyball.

The prestigious camp, scheduled for February 19 to 22 at the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, brings together the country’s top collegiate athletes for high-level development and national team evaluation. Nebraska’s eight selections are among the most from any NCAA program, underscoring the Huskers’ dominance on the collegiate stage.

The players selected from the Nebraska volleyball team are Husker, Jackson, Laney Choboy, Olivia Mauch, Manaia Ogbechie, Bergen Reilly, Teraya Sigler, and Keoni Williams. The camp will feature 62 athletes from 29 Division I programs across 20 regional associations. It offers the participants the opportunity to train in a national team environment while being evaluated by senior staff coaches.

This opportunity came for the Nebraska players just before their beach volleyball season. Their 2026 indoor season is scheduled to commence on February 23, and their first outing is against Ottawa at the Alloy Strength Complex.

Harper Murray opened up about why no Nebraska players left after John Cook’s retirement

Nebraska volleyball’s former coach, John Cook, retired from the role after serving the team for more than 25 years, following the 2024 NCAA season. He was replaced by Dani Busboom Kelly, who started her role in late January 2025. Amid the season, Harper Murray sat for a conversation with Hail Varsity in August, in which she was asked why no players left the team after Cook’s retirement.

In reply, Murray highlighted the culture Cook built and said they trusted Busboom Kelly, noting that she has done her best with the Louisville volleyball team.

“I feel like that attests to the culture and the tradition that John built over the past 24, 25 years. I feel like we all trust him to replace him with someone like Dani, and we all trusted that he would put someone in his position to make us successful, and we all knew that Dani would be able to do that, and I also think Dani has an amazing reputation in the volleyball world,” said Harper Murray.

    She added:

“She’s done so much at Louisville, and we all saw that happen, like we’ve played Louisville in the past. We’ve seen what she’s been able to do with their program, so I think it was easy for us to trust that she’d be able to bring us success too.”

Harper Murray and the Nebraska volleyball team were last seen in action during the regional final game of the 2025 NCAA volleyball championships.
