Bergen Reilly opened up about balancing social life and practice

Before the start of the 2026 spring volleyball season, Bergen Reilly sat for a conversation with Hail Varsity, where they discussed several aspects of her game in the spring season. Amid this, she was also asked about how she balances her social life and practice during the spring season. Responding to this, she said:

“It’s we’ve had to kind of focus more on like eating together at meals and stuff cuz usually we come to practice like an hour early and just sit in the locker room and talk and hang out. But um there’s not really a need for that here. So, um, we’ve been really just working on games outside of practice to help us grow. And spring’s always a great time to build the relationships and grow the bonds. So, we’re finding ways and it’s different, but it’s working for this team,” said Bergen Reilly.
She was further asked about her focus during this spring season, and revealing her mindset for the same, she said:
“I’m just really trying to like work on the leadership aspect of setting a little bit more. I was a captain last year, but um now I’m the oldest on the team and usually in club I played up and in high school I started 8th grade. So it’s I’ve always kind of been the younger one on the team. So being the oldest is definitely an adjustment. So just making sure that I can be there in any way that I can for younger girls, whether that’s on the court or off the court. But in terms of my game, I think just continuing to nail down the fundamentals so I can kind of run my offense and um take some risks.”
