Amber Glenn Gives a Raw Look at the Jump That Cost Her a Winter Olympics 2026 Medal

Amber Glenn entered the 2026 Winter Olympics as one of the favorites for the gold medal; however, one jump changed the entire trajectory. Shortly after missing out on gold, the American shared a video of the jump that cost her a medal.

On Tuesday, February 17, Glenn competed in the short skate program, which was the qualifier for the figure skating free skate final in Milano-Cortina. She was a heavy favorite, and although she started her routine on a strong note, things quickly went south after an error while doing the triple toe loop. Performing to Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer,’ the American finished with 67.39 points in 13th position.

This jump affected her position in the medal contention, and she showed a massive improvement in the finals, claiming a fifth-place finish on February 19. Shortly after this, she shared a raw look of the jump that cost her a Winter Olympic medal on TikTok.

Glenn posted a video in selfie mode, where she enacted that jump, saying:

“Come with me to do the jump that cost me an Olympic medal.”

Amber Glenn recently revealed that she competed at the Olympics while she was on her period and highlighted the struggles that female athletes go through.

Amber Glenn Opened Up About Her Performance in the Final Round at the Winter Olympics

After the unexpected error during the short skate program, Amber Glenn proved her strength by jumping from 13th position to fifth. She delivered a clean and powerful performance, recording an overall score of 214.53 points.

Shortly after the skate, she spoke to the media, weighing in on her performance. Although she didn’t win a gold medal, Glenn said she wasn’t going to stop after the setback in the short skate.
    She said:
“I made myself be happy about it. Deep down, of course, I know I could have done better, but I told myself enjoy it. I had my moment and my spiral, and told myself, ‘you just skated, stayed on your feet at the Olympics.’ I’m proud I had my moment.”
“That six-year-old girl who never thought I’d ever be here. I told myself to go out there, do your job, and I was working towards being able to have that spiral moment in the sequence. That was my reward. So it was chasing a goal,” she added.
Amid the 2026 Winter Olympics, Amber Glenn also highlighted the issue of a lack of privacy after Japanese skater Kaori Sakamoto broke down on the Olympic stage, and cameramen and reporters wouldn’t stop recording even after the American asked them to.
