While Ohio State Buckeyes star Sonny Styles is heading to the NFL after the 2025 season, his girlfriend and college basketball player, Kaia Henderson, is unsure about her future.
After redshirting last season with Ohio State, Kaia transferred to Boston College, where she appeared in 25 games, including two starts. She averaged 2.2 points, 1.8 assists and 0.4 rebounds while amassing 11 steals and 29 turnovers.
On Wednesday, Henderson posted glimpses of herself from the season, including team moments, travel diaries, courtside meetings, and pre-game warmups. There were also photos where her family members came to watch her play in a college basketball game. She also shared a photo with Styles in an Eagles practice jersey.
In her caption, she shared her gratitude for the 2025-26 season while adding that she is unsure about her future, but there’s a good chance she might return for another season.
“So grateful for this season.🏀🤍 Not sure what the future holds (hopefully one more ride 🙏🏽), but I don’t take a single moment for granted. Thankful for my teammates, coaches, and everyone who supported us all year. Forever grateful! ❤️ #11” Henderson wrote.
Before coming to Boston College, Kaia Henderson spent three seasons at Ohio State, where she also met linebacker/safety Sonny Styles. With the Buckeyes, she won 80 games, made three NCAA Tournament appearances and an Elite Eight appearance in the 2022-23 season. She went to New Hartford High School and owns the school’s all-time scoring record (2,092 points).
As far as academics are concerned, Kaia has earned a communications degree at Ohio State University in just three years and plans to pursue a master’s degree in sports administration.
Kaia Henderson “Proud” of BF Sonny Styles NFL Combine Heroics
Sonny Styles has elevated his draft stock to new heights after an exceptional showcase at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. The 6-foot-5 and almost 245 lbs linebacker channeled his inner beast to produce the following Combine results:
40-yard dash: 4.46 seconds
Vertical jump: 43.5 inches
Broad jump: 11-foot-2
Short shuttle: 4.26 seconds
Three-cone drill: 7.09 seconds
The 43.5-inch vertical was the best by an off-ball linebacker at the combine since 2003.
When Styles’ results were revealed, his girlfriend Kaia Henderson took to her Instagram stories and added the following reaction:
“So proud.”
The couple is in different spectrums of their careers. While Styles has decided to turn pro, Kaia might hold back in Boston College for another season.
