NFL star Maxx Crosby provided an encouraging update on his injury recovery. Appearing on the latest episode of The Rush With Maxx Crosby podcast, the veteran opened up about the knee injury that ended his 2025 season early.
Crosby revealed that he has entered the final phase of his rehabilitation following offseason surgery.
“These past few weeks have been incredible,” Crosby said. “Super productive. Super excited. We have a big chunk of this rehab coming up that is the final touch, where I can get cut free. So I’m feeling amazing.”
“Everything’s going incredible. We’re ahead of schedule, feeling amazing, feeling great, and feeling like myself. I’ve got my pep in my step. Being able to do some good work and being able to box, too, for the first time in a long time,” he added.
“I train intentionally for football. Everything is tied together, including my punch, my strength, my hands, and all the little things.”
Will Maxx Crosby Be Ready For The Upcoming Season?
While Crosby sounded optimistic about his current condition, he admitted the early months following surgery were mentally challenging.
“Everyone knew I was literally on crutches,” he said. “I could not put weight on my foot for two months. People don’t understand that. That was mental warfare.”
“You have to build that back up, but you also have to keep working on the right leg. Even during the rehab part of it, you don’t want to suddenly get super strong on your left leg while your right one falls behind.”
As things stand now, we can expect the Raiders star to be all ready for the season.
The update came amid continued speculation surrounding Crosby’s future. He was linked to the Ravens earlier and now he was linked to the 49ers.
However, Crosby has not publicly shown interest in leaving Las Vegas. The Raiders signed him to a three-year extension last offseason, and he is now only focused on returning.
At a brand event, a young fan asked if he would consider joining the 49ers.
“I literally made a post about you a couple of weeks ago. So I gotta ask for the faithful, will you please join the 49ers?” she said.
“I can’t. I can’t. Hey, I still appreciate you doing your homework, though. You’ll never know. You’re the best,” replied Crosby.
With training camp approaching later this month, Crosby’s recovery appears to be progressing well. If he continues, he could be back at full strength for the 2026 season.
