The final two teams in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, are gearing up for a West Coast battle after their memorable clash earlier in the season. That clash happened last December, with the Seahawks escaping with a one-point victory, 38-37. Will this game be as close as the last time these two teams clashed, or will one of them escape Seattle with a ticket to the Super Bowl?
When betting opened for this game, DraftKings Sportsbook opened it with a total odds of 47.5, but it soon fell on 46.5 after Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald revealed that quarterback Sam Darnold is suffering an oblique injury and had to have a limited practice last Thursday.
As for how much the spread is, it is -2.5 (-110) for the Seattle Seahawks with an under of 47 (-110) and a moneyline worth -138. This means that even with the Sam Darnold injury, many oddsmakers still believe that this game will be going to the Seahawks. They are currently considered the best defensive team in the playoffs, with them being able to shut down their opponents’ offense, much like what they did to the San Francisco 49ers.
The Rams, which lost much of its momentum thanks to losses to non-playoff teams late in the season, meanwhile, have a +2,5 (-105) spread with an over of 47 (-108), and their moneyline is +125. The team once had a 9-2 record this season and were poised to get the No. 1 seed in the playoffs but soon got into a slump that saw the Seahawks takeover as the No. 1 team in the conference.
Still, the Rams have one of the most dynamic offenses in the league, and they have scored over 30 against that vaunted Seattle Seahawks defense before, though they still lost that game.
