As he gets ready for his impending quarterback showdown during the upcoming Cleveland Browns training camp, Shedeur Sanders had a massive photoshoot involving a lot of his No. 12 jerseys.
However, not everyone was impressed, as former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan voiced his thoughts on the shoot on X [formerly Twitter], saying he does not believe that the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders was “franchise” material.
“Get a load of this kid… Great talent needs to realize as a “franchise” QB there has to be more we than me… Cmon man…” he tweeted.
Soon enough, however, Ryan’s tweet received a reply from Shedeur Sanders’ older brother, Deion Sanders Jr., who soon called out the former NFL coach.
“Why does it bother you so much?” Deion Sanders Jr. asked.
Right now, Shedeur Sanders is enjoying the off-season as training camp draws ever nearer. He had shown what he could do during spring training and is about to take on Deshaun Watson for the starting position as quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. Watson is back from a long hiatus due to injury and is ready to take back the QB1 spot that Sanders got late last season.

The Shedeur Sanders vs. Deshaun Watson quarterback battle may be one of the most anticipated quarterback showdowns heading into training camp.
Sanders has shown plenty of improvement while Watson is out to prove that he is not a waste of money for the Browns. Both are expected to give it their all, and one Browns teammate is also very excited to see this, and he has a front-row seat for the duel.
Browns defensive end Jared Verse appeared on Good Morning Football on Wednesday, and he expressed just how excited he is to see the two “elite” quarterbacks go at it for that starting position.
“These are two great quarterbacks,” he said. “I’m honestly excited to see how it goes further in the preseason, but so far I’ve just seen two elite quarterbacks battling it out.”
Even with two elite quarterbacks leading the team, Cleveland is now in a rebuilding phase after a coaching change and the trade of superstar defender Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
