Ever since he retired from the game in 2022, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has been everywhere publicly. Since he is considered one of the greatest NFL players of all time, Brady has not been shy about popping up at key sports and pop culture events. Most of the time, though, Brady stays within the American football realm as an NFL analyst.
Recently, Brady has attended various 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, especially since North American countries (USA, Canada and Mexico) hosted the grand spectacle. During the final on Sunday, in a video posted to X/Twitter by former NFL player Will Compton, Brady, a spectator, had an unsavory moment with WWE superstar Logan Paul when they flipped each other off.
NFL fans and spectators were seemingly unhappy with how Brady acted toward Paul while watching the World Cup final.
“Because he’s trying to stay relevant while also helping extend that bleach blonde guys career,” one fan said.
Other users across X/Twitter defended Brady, siding with him and wishing he wouldn’t go the route of fighting Paul.
Brady exchanging the middle finger with Paul left onlookers confused. Rumors have been spreading that Brady and Paul had the moment in an attempt to fuel a potential feud for the WWE. Ever since he retired, Brady has joked about the idea of joining the WWE for a brief stint, most recently during Fanatics Fest with WWE superstar Cody Rhodes.
Tom Brady slapped Logan Paul in front of NBA champion Karl Anthony-Towns during 2026 Fanatics Fest
Before their moment during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, Tom Brady and Logan Paul already had a viral clash a few days prior at this year’s Fanatics Fest. In a video uploaded on Friday to X/Twitter by the Fanatics page, Brady and Paul verbally went at one another. Brady then slapped Paul, and they were held back by NBA champion Karl Anthony-Towns.
There is no word yet on Paul and Brady potentially squaring up in the WWE. But the WWE’s biggest summer event, SummerSlam, is scheduled for Aug. 1, at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Paul has no matches booked for the pay-per-view event yet, but that might change in the coming week after his public beef with Brady.
