The Detroit Lions traded running back David Montgomery to the Houston Texans on Monday. This comes a week before both general manager Brad Holmes and the running back expressed interest in continuing together.
The latest trade has put the spotlight on Montgomery as fans want to know about his personal life.
Who Is David Montgomery’s GF Tatum Causey?
Tatum Causey and David Montgomery have been together for several years. They both met in college, attending Iowa State University. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on January 13, 2023.
Tatum is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and was born on March 24, 1997. She went to Pinnacle High School. She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree focused on Child, Adult, and Family Services. She has also worked in youth and community. Her work involves donor relations and nonprofit roles.
Post her graduation, Tatum worked as a Youth Development Professional and Program Coordinator at Boys & Girls Clubs, and as a Donor Relations Associate at the Community Renewal Society.
Tatum is a known pet lover. The couple houses a pitbull named Lola. On June 4, 2023, Lola reportedly attacked a small dog on the sidewalk in Michigan. Following the incident, Tatum defended herself, saying the dog escaped the house and was unaware of the incident.
”I go inside, literally opened the door and I said, ‘Anybody see Lola?” she said.
On the other hand, the victim dog owners claimed that Lola severely injured their dog and they also incurred bitten wounds and abrasions.
She was brought up on legal charges, but she pleaded not guilty. However, the following month, Lola died. She shared an emotional Instagram post, revealing the same and mourning the loss:
“So many quiet days just filled with your unconditional love. You are and always will be the best. My soul dog, I love you forever and ever my Lola Bear.”
The couple will now start their next chapter in Houston after Montgomery experienced a significant drop in his workload as he had to share touches with primary running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
