Tom Brady has the world talking after he slapped Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest in what is being built up to be a possible match between the duo in WWE. The sports entertainment giant’s SummerSlam pay-per-view is just around the corner, and the interaction was likely done to build interest in the event. While the intention may be clear, Brady’s participation in WWE has come under fire, with a well-known quarterbacks coach showing his displeasure.
Quincy Avery took to X to voice his frustration with Tom Brady’s involvement in the WWE, calling it “fake fighting.”
“Tom Brady went from the GOAT to fake fighting with a Paul brother,” Avery wrote.
Quincy Avery has been known in NFL circles for a while, training major names such as Patrick Mahomes, who was with him before the 2017 NFL draft, and also Jalen Hurts, over and above being a former collegiate quarterback himself.
Will Tom Brady Be Fighting in the WWE?
It certainly appears that Tom Brady will be entering the ring for a fight in the WWE following his interaction with Logan Paul, and he also spoke about his interest in getting physical in professional wrestling.
“I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there, still showcase I’m a little bit of an athlete,” Brady told Cody Rhodes at Fanatics Fest on the WWE wrestler’s “What Do You Wanna Talk About” podcast.
If he does end up entering the ring, Brady would be following in the footsteps of his former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, who crossed over to WWE briefly, even winning the 24/7 Championship and showing up at WrestleMania 36.
