Tyreek Hill’s road back to the NFL remains an uphill battle. The veteran wide receiver shared an honest update on his recovery 10 months after suffering a devastating knee injury. He revealed that he has “no power” in his left leg despite undergoing two surgeries.
The admission, which came in a YouTube video he posted on Wednesday, quickly sparked concern across social media, with many fans questioning whether the former Miami Dolphins star will ever return to his previous form.
“Sad but his career is probably over,” one wrote.
Another wrote, “The biggest question isn’t whether Tyreek can run, it’s whether he can explode. NFL receivers make their money in the first 5-10 yards. If he’s saying he still has ‘no power,’ that’s a much bigger concern than straight-line speed.”
Some believed Hill may have hurt his chances of signing with another team by publicly discussing his condition.
“Teams probably read ‘no power in the left leg’ and immediately closed the scouting report.”
Others were simply thankful his recovery had progressed as far as it had.
“God bless him! Thankful he can still walk.”
Another fan remained optimistic.
“He might not be 100% he definitely gonna play.”
Tyreek Hill Provides Update on His Injury
Hill suffered a dislocated knee and multiple ligament tears during Miami’s Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets last season.
In the workout video posted on Wednesday, Hill showed optimism while acknowledging how much work still lies ahead.
“So it’s about 10 months after doing two surgeries,” Hill said. “My left leg is the one that I injured. I have no power in my left leg, so I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time.
“You know, they told me I might not be able to walk again… and now look at me. God is good. I feel good.”
Hill’s former Kansas City Chiefs teammates showed their support.
Patrick Mahomes commented on the workout video, writing, “Keep going brotha!” Travis Kelce also chimed in with a series of supportive emojis.
Hill has continued posting rehabilitation videos throughout the offseason as he works toward regaining his explosiveness. Right now, he remains a free agent after Miami released him in February following an injury-shortened 2025 season, where he recorded 21 catches for 265 yards and one touchdown.
For now, Hill’s focus remains on rebuilding strength in his injured leg. Whether that effort leads to an NFL return before the 2026 season is still uncertain.
