‘This Sounds Bad’: Analyst Makes Sarcastic Comment on Jets Star Geno Smith Amid Assault Accusation

Reports have arisen that police were called to Geno Smith’s house over allegations of battery from an unknown woman on Sunday afternoon. The unknown woman went on Instagram to share pictures of Geno Smith, including one of the Jets quarterback alongside police officers.

The pictures included profanity-filled captions that alleged Smith attacked and destroyed part of her personal property, including one computer. She also accuses him of not taking care of his ‘special needs’ son. A spokesperson for the Davie Police Department confirmed officers went to Smith’s house on Sunday around 4:40 pm.

Analyst Clay Travis reacted to the news by drawing an ironic comparison to the amount of negative press rival New York quarterback Jaxson Dart received for introducing President Trump at a recent rally:

“This sounds bad. But it could always be much worse for a New York NFL quarterback — he could have introduced the president of the United States at a rally,” wrote Clay on X

The tweet seems to point to the irony that Dart is receiving a significant amount of backlash for supporting Trump, while other NFL players, who get embroiled in far more significant legal issues, and the press treats them more leniently.

The mother of Geno Smith’s son reacts to accusations against Jets quarterback

The mother of Geno Smith’s son, a woman only known to the public as Kristen, reacted to the news and seems to be standing with the signal-caller. She shared a series of pictures of Smith with his son, Seven, and added the following commentary:

“Geno is and always has been more than capable of taking care of his son. Let’s kill that narrative. Don’t get on the internet bringing my son into your web of dysfunction”

While the woman referred to Smith’s son as ‘special needs,’ what is the exact medical condition of the infant is not known. Seven, whose name comes from his father’s jersey number, was born in 2019 and is thought to be between six and seven years old.

The woman accused Geno Smith of not taking care of Seven, preferring to spend his time online watching pornography or playing video games. Neither Smith nor the New York Jets has responded to the accusations.
