Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding bells are ringing, and the world can’t get enough amid widespread speculation. Arguably the most recognizable musician in the world, Swift’s millions of fans have been waiting for this day forever, and among them was probably Dave Portnoy.
The Barstool founder is a longtime Swiftie, making no bones about the fact that he has loved Taylor Swift’s music for years. However, even he can’t seem to enjoy the fact that the duo is reportedly planning a wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York.
“There’s rumors that the Taylor Swift Travis Kelce wedding is gonna take place at Madison Square Garden,” Portnoy said. “I don’t know where this came from, maybe it’s a fake out, but if this is true, it would have to be the greatest stock down in the history of this game. Taylor Swift cannot get married at Madison Square Garden.
“It’s a dump everywhere around there, why would you when you can get married anywhere, why would you do it there?”
While neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce has announced their wedding venue, reports from Page Six and TMZ have listed MSG as the possible destination. TMZ further reported that the wedding will witness 1,100 to 1,200 guests on July 3.
Dave Portnoy’s Love for Taylor Swift’s Music Is Nothing New
Dave Portnoy has supported Taylor Swift from the very beginning, taking a stand for the singer against Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and even wearing a custom jacket featuring all of Swift’s musical eras.
In 2024, Portnoy also revealed that he was given a handwritten letter by Taylor Swift for all the support he’s shown her over the years, with the letter reading:
“Dave, I am so happy you are at the show tonight. I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal, for having my back when a lot of people didn’t. I hope you have a blast tonight. Love, Taylor.”
