The New England Patriots are set to face the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 NFL Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
Throughout the course of the 2025 season, some teams performed well beyond what was expected of them this season, while some sides thoroughly underperformed. However, the only constant throughout all of the games this season was the energy and exuberance of all the cheerleaders who tirelessly entertained and performed their hearts out on every on-field occasion.
Despite the NFL being one of the richest sports leagues in the world, one could argue their star performers are not compensated as well as what’s expected of the league.
The latest information pertaining to their salaries reveals the pay scale of these cheerleaders, ranging from $150 to $200 dollars per game for rookie cheerleaders, while experienced cheerleaders earn up to $500 dollars per game.
With the cheerleaders tirelessly practicing before performing on the field, they are also compensated for practice sessions and other off-field promotional events.
As far as their Super Bowl pay scale is concerned, there are no exact figures that highlight how much these players earn if their respective teams play in the all-important season finale. However, a team bonus could be a part of the cheerleaders’ pay scale component.
Historically, NFL cheerleaders have always been paid less in proportion to the players, mascots, and other counterparts. ‘American Sweethearts’, a Netflix documentary about the Dallas Cowboys’ cheer squad, further revealed how these cheerleaders earn as little as $12.50 dollars per hour at times.
However, the situation is apparently getting better, with the Dallas Cowboys’ cheer squad reportedly getting a 400% raise back in July 2025.
Where Will The 2027 and 2028 Super Bowls Be Held?
With the 2026 Super Bowl set to be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, players and cheerleaders alike will give their all in what’s touted to be one of the most-viewed sports spectacles this year.
Next year, the Super Bowl will continue to be in California, with the SoFi Stadium set to host the 2027 edition of the Super Bowl, while the 2028 Super Bowl is slated to be at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
