Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback, Baker Mayfield, has been married to his wife, Emily, for 7 years, and the spark between the two is still undeniable.
The couple never shies away from expressing their love for each other on social media and always supports each other publicly.
In a clip shared by Netflix Sports on Sunday from the upcoming season 3 of “Quarterback,” the Mayfields are seen discussing their initial impressions of each other and how their relationship has evolved since then.
In her video diary, Emily spoke about how she had her reservations about Baker and how different it was from what actually happened:
“I thought it was going to be the Baker Show, and I thought it would be all about him. And when we sat down, he quite literally said nothing about himself. He wanted to know about my family, about my job. And there was a spark.
I texted my mom and sister and said: I think I’ll marry this guy. I went to the game the next day. They lost the game, and he had already graduated, so he ended up staying in L.A. and then moved in with me about three days after we met. And I was living with my two brothers at the time, so it was really kind of a frat house situation.“
Baker then shared that six months from their first date, the couple was engaged, and they never looked back.
A Look at Baker and Emily Mayfield’s Outfits for the Wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Baker and Emily Mayfield were two of many NFL players and their wives who attended the massive Madison Square Garden wedding on July 3.
While the Bucs’ star quarterback chose the classic route, wearing a black tuxedo paired with a white shirt, his wife donned a gorgeous red-and-black gown.
Emily’s gown was strapless, floral, with subtle vertical pleating and a bodice that gave a corset-like effect.
The gown’s silhouette was a fit-and-flare style, fitted through the waist and hips before flaring at the bottom.
After the event, Baker wrote on IG:
”So something cool happened last night. Congrats T&T!! Oh, and Happy Birthday, America.”
Emily commented on Bucs star’s post with a two-word flirtatious message: “You’re hot.”
On the day of the wedding, Emily also shared an unfiltered behind-the-scenes moment as while most celebrities were enjoying getting papped before the wedding, the Mayfields were dodging them as she was breastfeeding her newborn.
