The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding continues to make waves on the internet, even after more than a week has passed since the massive event took place at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 3.
The popular couple invited and hosted around 1,000 guests and reportedly turned MSG into a fairy-tale-themed castle.
However, while many guests, including Donna Kelce, Ryan Clark, and others, described the wedding as magical and beautiful, some were reportedly unhappy with certain arrangements.
According to a report by The Daily Mail published on Saturday, guests had to stand in long lines at the buffet to eat their food at the wedding.
“I couldn’t believe that there was a buffet at the wedding of the year,’ one guest said. ‘That felt like such a tacky move… amazing A-listers having to stand in line. It wasn’t quite what I expected.”
“And now there’s more, with the raffle that Swift and Kelce held at Friday’s reception raising eyebrows.”
“It was really bizarre,’ one insider told the Daily Mail. ‘Straight after the ceremony, Taylor and Travis did a raffle and gave out expensive gifts for an hour. Everyone was weirded out.”
“It was a circus meet-and-greet. Everyone kind of felt like, why are they giving away Chanel bags as if we are all their poor fans? It was pretty demeaning. It killed the vibe.”
Zohran Mamdani Reveals How Much Taylor Swift Paid NYC for the Grand MSG Wedding
During a press conference on Saturday, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was asked about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding and whether the Grammy winner paid for any police overtime.
Mamdani revealed that Swift has already paid the cost of the permit that was lodged for the wedding and the response to it.
“Taylor Swift will be paying, has already paid, the cost of the permit that was lodged, which was over $160,000 for that event and the response to it. And that was a permit that was finalized, I think, just the days before the event itself.” Mamdani said,
Swift and Kelce have been together for around three years, with the Chiefs Tight End making it official by going down on one knee in August 2025.
