Stefon Diggs Free Agency: Top 5 Landing Spots That Make The Most Sense For Former Patriots WR

Stefon Diggs started the offseason later than almost everyone else after helping the New England Patriots reach the Super Bowl. As such, a longer wait might have made some sense. However, entering February, not many expected Diggs to still be available in mid-July.

With seemingly the worst of his offseason legal drama in the rearview mirror and training camp approaching, now is as good a time as any for the receiver to find a new home. Here’s a look at some of the best options for the receiver.

Stefon Diggs’ Best Landing Spots with Training Camp on the Horizon

    #5 – New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints should feel relatively good about its wide receiver room heading into 2026. However, with Jordyn Tyson’s injury history well documented and his NFL floor still unknown, adding a veteran like Stefon Diggs could be the way the Saints elevate things to the next level.

If the goal is to maximize Tyler Shough’s potential on his rookie deal, adding Diggs would be the logical next move.

    #4 – Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are heading into a prove-it year for Cam Ward after the young quarterback showed some sparks in 2025. However, expecting any quarterback to pull the offense himself is a dangerous proposition.

Fans have reason to be excited about Carnell Tate, but the receiver is still just a rookie and without a star running back room, adding at wide receiver might be the team’s only choice. Diggs also spent a season in the division in recent years, so he already has some experience he can lean on.

    #3 – Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts were hit with some bad news about Alec Pierce’s ankle injury this offseason, which placed his return timeline in a less-than-ideal spot. Shane Steichen expressed hope for him to return “at some point in training camp” in a June 10 NFL report. However, injuries without a clear return date are serious risks for teams to shoulder.

With nothing guaranteed about the wide receiver in the early part of the year, the Colts are likely to need a veteran receiver to help fill in as the top guy. Diggs, who was a 1,000-yard receiver in 2025, could be a solid option to round out the receiver room in a make-or-break season for Daniel Jones.

    #2 – Las Vegas Raiders

Stefon Diggs should want to join the Las Vegas Raiders to help Fernando Mendoza. The offense is still lacking in the wide receiver room, leaving the Raiders with reason to sign him. Diggs saw firsthand what Klint Kubiak was able to do at the Super Bowl, so he would have reason to join the team for that reason alone.

He already helped defeat the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East in 2025, so helping another struggling team overcome its rivals should be a challenge worthy of Diggs’ talents.

    #1 – Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders seemed like the team was heading for a move for Brandon Aiyuk, but amid the drama between the receiver and Jayden Daniels, that ship appears to have sailed. Stefon Diggs would arguably be a better option for the franchise this season as a second WR1 alongside Terry McLaurin, essentially sliding into Deebo Samuel’s old role.

Currently, the team is set to trot out Luke McCaffrey as its WR2. McCaffrey earned 203 yards last season, so the jury is out on whether he can triple or quadruple that in 2026. Diggs doesn’t have that issue.
