Former Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders recently poked fun at the fact that he is no longer playing in the NFL when he was advised on how to be careful with selecting a partner. On Tuesday, Feb. 24, user @ItsKingSlime on X/Twitter uploaded a clip from a recent live stream on Twitch that renowned entrepreneur and podcaster Walter “Fresh” Weekes had, wherein he had Sanders as a guest.
In the clip, Shilo Sanders brought up to Weekes and his close ones that he and his brother, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, have plans on heading over to Miami and possibly meet a woman. Shilo Sanders then asked Weekes for advice on how he should be selective of the partner he seeks. Weekes then took this seriously and told Sanders to be careful, especially since he is a celebrity. Sanders disagreed, however, sharing that he is no longer in the NFL.
“No kids, no single moms and the biggest one, bro, you’re a celebrity. People know your brother, and they know you then your dad. You’re a target. Dude, I’m a target too but you’re way more than me as a target…But real talk though, like I feel like for you bro, you have to give more attention than me on the plate. You have a lot more to lose than I have to lose. That’s the biggest thing,” Weekes told Sanders.
“Not anymore though, ’cause I’m not in the league no more,” Sanders responded.
The rest of the clip then saw Weekes and Co. laugh at what Shilo Sanders said, as the former was just jokingly pointing out that he is no longer seeking a career in the league. Nevertheless, Weekes asserted to Shilo Sanders that he is still a celebrity, especially in relation to his brother, Shedeur, and father, NFL legend Deion Sanders, and holds a lot of potential.
Shilo Sanders Went Undrafted In The 2025 NFL Draft
Unfortunately for Shilo Sanders, his quest to get into the NFL went for nought as he was undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft last year. He was picked up, though, by coach Todd Bowles’ Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an offseason and practice squad member, but Sanders has since separated from the role. Sanders played five years of collegiate football and finished his tenure with the Colorado Buffaloes.
