    With only a few days remaining until Super Bowl LX between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, it’s time to look back on the history of the Big Game. The AFC championship game between the Patriots and the Broncos was a low-scoring one, giving the impression that if the Patriots’ defense holds tight again, we might be in for another one.

    5) Super Bowl VI: Cowboys 24, Dolphins 3 (27 total points)

    The Dallas Cowboys had a magnificent night on both sides of the ball as they secured a massive 24-3 victory against the Miami Dolphins.

    Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach was the star of the night as he completed 12 of 19 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. On the other hand, Miami’s quarterback Bob Griese struggled to sustain drives on the offense.

    4) Super Bowl III: Jets 16, Colts 7 (23 total points)

    This is one of the earliest Super Bowls played on this list, as the New York Jets won the game 16-7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

    Jets quarterback Joe Namath became the first QB to win Super Bowl MVP without a touchdown pass. He completed 17-of-28 passes for 206 yards. On the other hand, Colts starting quarterback Earl Morrall threw three interceptions and was replaced by Johnny Unitas in the game. Namath was also helped on offense by running back Matt Snell, who erupted with 121 rushing yards.

    3) Super Bowl IX: Steelers 16, Vikings 6 (22 total points)

    The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Minnesota Vikings 16-6 in one of the lowest-scoring games registered in Super Bowl history.

    Steelers running back Franco Harris was the MVP, rushing 158 yards and one score. The Steelers defense restricted the Vikings to just 119 total yards.

    2) Super Bowl VII: Dolphins 14, Redskins 7 (21 total points)

    The Super Bowl VII victory for the Miami Dolphins was the only perfect season (17-0) recorded in NFL history.

    Dolphins safety Jake Scott made two key interceptions in the game, earning him the MVP. Moreover, Dolphins running back Larry Csonka rushed for 112 yards in the win.

    1) Super Bowl LIII: Patriots 13, Rams 3 (16 total points)

    The lowest-scoring Super Bowl game ever registered was played between the Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. It was one of Tom Brady’s unprecedented seven Super Bowl victories as a quarterback.

    In the 13-3 win, Brady completed 21 of 35 passes for 262 yards and no touchdowns. On the other hand, Jared Goff’s Rams were limited to just three points. Patriots receiver was the main offensive engine for the Patriots, as he caught 10 receptions for 141 yards, earning him MVP despite no TDs.
