The NFL preseason is just around the corner. With OTAs already underway for many teams, the next big event will be training camp at the end of July, which will take teams into the preseason. Here’s a look at the biggest games in the preseason to circle on your calendars for the preseason starting on Aug. 6, including one Hall of Fame quarterback’s reunion with the team that made him.

Must-watch NFL Preseason Games and Dates

#5 – New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns – Aug. 27 at 8:00 pm EST

The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback competition is likely to take every last moment of the preseason to sort out, which means that for each quarterback, the final preseason game will be their Super Bowl. Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit are expected to be on the call, giving the game a regular-season vibe as well. It might be worth adding the subscription two weeks early for the contest for Browns and Patriots fans.

#4 – Los Angeles Rams at Kansas City Chiefs – Aug. 15 at 4:00 pm EST

The Los Angeles Rams are likely to trot out their second team. However, that is likely to include Ty Simpson. Meanwhile, the game could leave the Chiefs with a game-time decision for Patrick Mahomes. If he claws his way onto the field, it would be his first sighting since December. If not, fans will get their first look at Justin Fields working with Andy Reid.

#3 – Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans – Aug. 20 at 8:00 pm EST

While it won’t be Fernando Mendoza’s first game for the Las Vegas Raiders, it will be his first in a prime-time setting. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are expected to be on the call for their preseason practice run, which means Mendoza will have to face a tough Texans defense in their building. He could change a lot of minds for better or worse, depending on how he does.

#2 – Arizona Cardinals vs Carolina Panthers – Aug. 6 at 8:00 pm EST

The Hall of Fame game is the unofficial kickoff to football season, and as the first game of the year after a long offseason, it will make the top of any preseason countdown. The game could give fans a brief look at Carson Beck, but don’t expect Jacoby Brissett or Bryce Young to make an appearance. Fans will also see stars like Drew Brees officially join the Hall of Fame as a bonus.

#1 – Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers – Aug. 13 at 7:00 pm EST

In what is allegedly going to be Aaron Rodgers’ last season, per statements from the quarterback via NBC Sports on Wednesday, the quarterback may get a series against Matt LaFleur and Jordan Love to kick it off. Even if not, tuning in just to see LaFleur, Love, Rodgers and McCarthy interact is appointment viewing for long-time NFL and Packers fans.
