NFL Free Agency: Top 5 Players Who Can Receive Big Paydays After 2025 Season

With the season coming to a close soon, NFL free agency is just around the corner. Some players won’t have a second thought about it after a solid year at the beginning of a new contract. However, others have run out of time and will need to see what the market has in store for them.

Some are dreading that moment, while others are thrilled after a year that gave them a case. Here’s a look at some of the names that could win big.

Potentially Most Expensive Players Entering NFL Free Agency After 2025 Season

    #5 – Khalil Mack, Edge

Khalil Mack proved he still has something in the tank after tallying 5.5 sacks in 11 starts. If a team needs a boost to its pass rush for a season and can get a healthier version of Mack, he could clean up nicely in March.

    #4 – Mike Evans, WR

Mike Evans’ legendary decade-long streak of 1,000-yard seasons has come to an end. However, with only one season separating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver from that streak, many teams will be willing to take a shot on Evans, and with more suitors means higher prices.

    #3 – Bobby Wagner, LB

Bobby Wagner might be in his mid 30s, but he is defying father time better than any player in the NFL. Wagner finished fifth in the NFL in total tackles and had 4.5 sacks. If a team needs a veteran it can set and forget in 2026, one couldn’t do better than the former Legion of Boom linebacker.

    #2 – Kyle Pitts, TE

Kyle Pitts is coming off his most productive season in the NFL, but the Atlanta Falcons are ready to seemingly cut ties as the tight end’s contract is up after the 2025 season, per Spotrac. Pitts had 88 catches for 928 yards and five touchdowns, setting career-best marks, almost like a college prospect before he jumps ship to the NFL. If Atlanta lets him out the back door, Pitts will be one of the most sought-after players on the board.

    #1 – George Pickens, WR

George Pickens is coming off the best season of his four-year career, beating two of his four single-season totals by about 50%. He earned 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in his first year in Dallas.

Many expect him to be back, but Jerry Jones has a notorious history of refusing to pay players, dragging his feet with even his best stars like Dak Prescott. After trading Micah Parsons and with no deal heading into the offseason, Pickens is a huge name to watch.
