Coach Prime recently shared that he would want to meet Todd Monken not as a father but as a coach so he can share his knowledge with the Browns head coach in terms of what is the best way to get Shedeur Sanders going.
While many analysts saw this as meddling, Todd Monken shared his thoughts on Thursday during a press conference and said he can’t wait to meet Deion.
Monken added that he has a lot of respect for Coach Prime for what he has done as a father, as a coach, and as a father to Shedeur Sanders.
The Browns head coach also shared that he is open to meeting Deion any time he is available, even if the Colorado head coach just tells him where he is shooting his next commercial in Cleveland.
“He said he can’t wait to meet COACH Sanders.. yall keep trying to minimize that he is a coach.. even Coach Monken correct the media!” one fan reacted.
“Maybe he will tell him that his kid sucks.” Another fan wrote.
“As he should
Shutting down that Browns media with every interview lmao.“ another fan said.
“Is he meeting any other players daddys?“ another fan questioned.
“Deion is already meddling… what a tire fire. First trading Garrett and now this. Jimmy will never win a ring.” Another fan shared their thoughts.
“Monken is eager to meet Sanders. This is the opposite of what the Cleveland media said. So thanks Leah for clarifying.” another fan commented.
Todd Monken Weighs In on Starting QB Battle Between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson
The starting quarterback battle between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson has been the one to watch, as they both have fans rooting for them.
While some analysts want the young quarterback to take the lead, others think the Browns should take their money’s worth from Watson.
Talking about his mindset on choosing between the two, Monken said that he is still confused between the two.
“I think both quarterbacks have played well enough. We really haven’t been in pads, played any games yet, or gotten to that point. I’ll tell you this: we have two starting-level quarterbacks. We really do,” Monken said.
Monken also shared that every day he swings one way or the other when it comes to picking a quarterback.
