After getting traded away by the Dallas Cowboys due to a contract dispute, Micah Parsons is rumored to be trying to get his former teammate, George Pickens, to join him over at Green Bay. Pickens was close to Parsons during their time together at Dallas, and losing him would be a big blow to the Cowboys.
This soon led to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones being asked about the rumors during the NFL Honors. As expected, Jones said he has no plans of letting his star wide receiver go.
“Well I know that we think a lot of George Pickens as well, and I’m sure having played him, he thinks a lot of him as well, so we are real proud to have him as a Cowboy,” Jerry Jones said.
George Pickens is now entering free agency after the 2025 season wraps up, as he is still currently in his rookie contract. It is still possible that the Cowboys re-sign him, but Parsons has been very aggressive in trying to recruit his former teammate, doing it in front of fellow former teammate CeeDee Lamb, as the Cowboys star himself admitted to.
George Pickens To Green Bay Rumors Heat Up After Connection To Packers QB Surfaces
The rumors that Parsons is trying to recruit George Pickens to the Packers intensified when it was revealed that he shares the same agent as Green Bay QB Jordan Love. The quarterback is also very vocal and has previously said that he also wants Pickens for the team.
“If you can bring in another player, George Pickens – he had a phenomenal year, he’s a great player. I would love to have the most talented players on our team at all times, and we’ll see.” Love said.
Still, no deal has been made yet, but it seems that while the Cowboys are trying to retain him, the Packers have been the most aggressive suitors by far.
