Is Maxx Crosby Getting Traded? Raiders Star Makes Thoughts On Future Very Clear

Maxx Crosby’s future with the Las Vegas Raiders has been a subject of discussion this offseason, even though he signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension last offseason, keeping him under contract through 2029.

Earlier, reports came out suggesting that Crosby might have played his last game with the Raiders and that he might not return for the 2026 news. However, there is no confirmed report claiming that the Raiders are actively shopping him.

Is Maxx Crosby Getting Traded? Raiders Star Provides Clarity

The Raiders star made his thoughts very clear on his future with the franchise while joining “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” from the team’s facility. Maxx Crosby laughed off the trade rumors that floated around him, giving a clear indication that he isn’t going anywhere.

“Now that I’m quiet, I’ve got random people making big statements for me,” Crosby said. “They’re like, ‘Maxx must’ve told them this.’ For me, I just sit back and laugh because I know my truth and when I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.

“I’m getting healthy. I’m in the building every single day. I’m in this building from 6 a.m. when it’s dark out, and I’m here until almost 2. … That’s all I care about, so all the noise, that’s news to me sometimes.”

Speculations about a potential trade picked up after the Raiders decided to place him on injured reserve despite two games remaining due to a knee injury. Crosby wanted to play and didn’t like the franchise’s decision to prioritize his health over playing time. He registered a career-high 28 tackles for loss. He underwent left knee surgery a few months ago and is rehabilitating from it this offseason.

“I’m ahead of schedule, and it’s business as usual,” Crosby said. “It’s my eighth surgery in seven years. It’s something that I’ve gotten used to. It’s all about perspective, about how you approach what you want to accomplish. I’m willing to run that marathon.”

The Raiders are coming off another poor season (3-14) and once again, the head coach has been changed, with Klint Kubiak taking the role for the 2026 season. However, they have a reason to be excited as they hold the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft and have more than $91 million in salary cap space.
