The Cleveland Browns ended the 2025 season with an overall record of 5-12, with Joe Flacco starting the season, Dillon Gabriel taking the spot after him and finishing the season with Shedeur Sanders in the last few games.
The Browns will now choose their starting quarterback amongst Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel and DeShaun Watson.
Whether or not Shedeur Sanders should get the starting quarterback position in the 2026 season remains a debate for many analysts, with ESPN’s Nick Paulus keeping the ex-Colorado star as the QB1 in his list.
On being asked if he’s okay with Sanders as QB1, followed by Watson as QB2 and Gabriel as QB3, Paulus said that it makes sense to him as he sees the ex-Oregon star as a great emergency quarterback.
“That’s an 0-17, first overall pick in the 2027 draft QB room right there. I feel bad for Monken. Berry and Jimmy are setting him up to fail.” one fan reacted.
“You call that a quarterback room? I call it a f*cking dysfunctional clown show! Run by a dysfunctional owner and a dysfunctional general manager.” Another fan shared their thoughts.
”When Deshaun and Dillon are your best options it’s going to be a long season.” Another fan pointed out.
“Not at all ok with Watson still being on the roster.” another fan wrote.
“How do they not win the Super Bowl with this?” another fan sarcastically added.
“No! I want to draft one and get rid of the midget! Drew Allar for me.” another fan commented.
Todd Monken Spills the Beans on Birthday Gift from Shedeur Sanders
Many analysts speculated that the Browns’ decision to fire Kevin Stefanski was because of how he handled the quarterback situation, and prominently because of how he treated Shedeur Sanders.
Now that the wheels of the franchise are in the hands of their new head coach, Todd Monken, Shedeur Sanders is making sure he starts things on the right foot with him.
On September 27th, Monken talked about receiving a special gift from Sanders, which was a porcelain horse head.
“[I] open[ed] it up, it’s like this porcelain, like, horse head. And it’s from Shedeur. He sent me a gift on my birthday.“ Monken said in an interview with CBS.
Monken shared that he first thought the package was from his wife, but later found out it was from the Browns’ rookie.
When asked what the meaning behind the gift was, Shedeur kept it simple and told the new head coach he chose it because he liked it.
