Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is making the most of his offseason by spending time with his wife, Jilly Anais Watson. Soon, the 30-year-old quarterback will get busy with the Browns for the 2026 NFL season.
Jilly recently posted pictures with the star quarterback from their trip to Marbella, Spain, on Instagram. They were seen spending time on a yacht, diving into the water, roaming around on jet skis, and enjoying the sun.
Jilly also showed off something special that Watson did for her. He got her face tattooed on his back.
“Baby if I was you, I would go spoil me too,” she captioned the post.
While Watson is enjoying his vacation in Marbella, he is also eyeing his return. The quarterback has been sidelined since October 2024 after going through multiple Achilles surgeries.
Interestingly, Watson didn’t talk about rupturing his Achilles tendon until Wednesday, when he got a chance to speak to reporters. He discussed wanting to be a starter on the team and said that every other player carries the same mentality.
“I think each and every person that walks into the locker room should have that mindset that you want to start in this league,” he said. “That’s why we show up each and every day, to be able to go out there and be able to perform on Sundays or whatever that day is. So yeah, it’s definitely the main focus of why I work hard to be able to come back.”
The starting quarterback position with the Cleveland Browns has generated a lot of buzz in the media over the years. This season, Watson will be competing against Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel for the role.
Todd Monken’s Assessment of Deshaun Watson
In April, the Cleveland Browns held a voluntary minicamp, and it was attended by all three quarterbacks on the team. At the end of it, new coach Todd Monken had a few things to say about his QBs.
In his opinion, he noticed a lot of positives in all three quarterbacks and identified areas that they might have to work on. As for Deshaun Watson, who is the most experienced among them, Monken said that he looked good during the minicamp.
“Deshaun looked really good at times, and there are things he gotta work on. Same with Shedeur and Dillon,” he said.
One of the biggest takeaways for Monken after the first minicamp was that he got to know his players better and got an idea of how he can work with them from next season.
