Taylor Swift has been going viral for celebrating the New York Knicks’ victories in the last few weeks.
Swift was seen dancing and jumping for the Knicks from the best seats available during their NBA Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs. While fans loved to see that part of the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer, some analysts also expressed frustration with the situation.
During the Knicks’ Game 4 matchup, commentator Monica McNutt was captured questioning Swift’s allegiance to the Knicks and said, “Get out of here, girl,” while she was live.
Days after that, Hank Azaria also spoke about Swift’s Game 4 appearance at Madison Square Garden. The actor discussed how celebrities are getting special treatment on “The Dan Le Batard Show” on June 11 and said:
“I’ll tell you the one that bothered me was Taylor Swift. Come on. I know she’s the hugest thing in the world, but we had to sit with her all through the NFL, and now she’s at the Garden. Come on.”
Azaria further called the whole situation “ridiculous,” highlighting how celebrities easily secure the Madison Square Garden tickets.
“You don’t know from the Garden if you’re going to get in until that day,” Azaria said. “If you’re Ben Stiller or Tracy Morgan, you know. I think Spike [Lee] actually pays for his tickets. So they don’t let you know until day-of because there’s such high demand.”
Andy Reid Refuses to Answer Any More Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Wedding Invite Questions
Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has previously expressed admiration for Taylor Swift while also sharing his plans to attend her wedding to his tight end, Travis Kelce. However, he reached his limit when another question about the upcoming event popped up during a press conference.
“Can’t talk about it, can’t talk about it,” Reid said about a potential wedding invite. “Listen, [Kelce’s] been here most of the offseason, if not the whole offseason. He did the mandatory camp and did a nice job there, so it’s good to have him back in and rolling. He’s very excited.”
“You see no distractions with that and the wedding. If it’s like when I got married, my wife did everything. I just kind of followed her lead on it [and] showed up. Maybe he’s doing more, but he looks like he’s pretty focused in on this job here, too,” he told reporters last week.
Reid has previously joked about cutting back on cheeseburgers to fit into his tuxedo for the wedding.
