Star tight end George Kittle might have gone down with an injury, but the San Francisco 49ers are moving on to the Divisional Round. This means that there will be a new Super Bowl champion as they defeated the Eagles in Philadelphia. Throughout that game, even as he went down with an injury, he had some pretty big support as his wife, Claire Kittle, was ever-present during that game.
Claire was there with an old school outfit, wearing pinstripe pants and oversized sunglasses, but what got many people’s attention was her wearing Kittle’s old high school letterman jersey with his old No. 12 on the shoulders. She posed ahead of the game against the Eagles.
“George’s high school letterman’s jacket,” she wrote in the caption.

Kittle may be playing tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, but in high school, he played as a two-star wide receiver for Norman High School in Oklahoma, with a scout grade of 69 as a senior in 2012, according to ESPN. He was ranked the No. 248 wide receiver and the No. 29 player in the state of Oklahoma. Hard to tell that he would soon grow to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL today.
Even though he was just a two-star, he still got an offer from Iowa, which helped him develop into a star tight end. He was then drafted in 2017 by the San Francisco 49ers and has stayed there ever since, with the Niners being playoff mainstays over the last few years.
George Kittle’s Wife, Claire, Shares Interviews Of Teammates About His Injury
The injury that George Kittle suffered turned out to be a torn Achilles, which means he will likely be out for a long time and will miss the rest of the playoffs. His teammates showed their support for him, with his wife, Claire, sharing interviews with them on her Instagram Stories.

Kittle caught a six-yard pass from Brock Pirdy and tried to cut upfield. However, his right leg reportedly gave way, leading to him getting tackled by Eagles linebacker Zack Baun. The tight end would stay down until medical staff got to him, and he was soon stretchered off to the locker room, where he would not return to the field.
