After a very unlikely run, the Chicago Bears have found themselves as the No. 2 seed, and they will be hosting the Green Bay Packers for their Wild Card round showdown on Saturday. With such an important game, will wide receiver DJ Moore play?
He raised some concern from fans and Fantasy managers when he appeared in the Bears’ injury report earlier this week, as he had been listed as a limited participant during two of this week’s practices. He is reportedly dealing with a foot injury, but since he has been practicing, this one is not very serious, and the team may just be airing some caution, especially with the Wild Card round around the corner.
So, will DJ Moore play? According to reports, he was a full participant during Thursday’s practice, and the wide receiver is likely to suit up against the Packers, so fans should not be that concerned. He has been a high-impact player for this season, with some great games, so his being able to play should be welcome news for the team.
This is pretty significant, as DJ Moore was the one who caught that long touchdown in overtime during the last time Chicago and Green Bay met, and that was the game-winning play. He had caught 97 yards for five receptions, with his lone touchdown being that game-winner, so he could be big during this rematch.
For this season, DJ Moore has been big for the Bears, getting 50 receptions for 682 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season. With him playing well against the Packers the last time, he should be able to shine, even though he has been dealing with a foot injury over the last few days.
DJ Moore Expresses Excitement Over His First NFL Playoff Game
This will be DJ Moore’s first time playing in the NFL Playoffs in his career, and the first time he has played in the postseason since his senior year in high school. He spoke to Marquee regarding this moment, and he was definitely excited for it.
“It’s great,” he said. “When you look at it, no winning seasons since high school. It’s crazy. To be in this locker room, with these guys, especially my rookies, they make the game young again. You just have fun.”
Moore had played with the Maryland Terrapins in college, but never really got to the postseason there. However, he had been very good as a wide receiver, so much so that he got to the NFL.
