Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding was dubbed ‘Wedding of the Year’ and for all the right reasons. Two of the biggest celebrities in the world tying the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3 had their fans buzzing.
Another thing that added to the conversations online about their wedding was the secrecy maintained from the weeks leading up to the big event. Very few details came out as guests refused to spill details.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle recently made an appearance on Chris Simms’ Unbuttoned podcast, and finally fans got some behind-the-scenes stories and information on Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
“They both wrote their own vows,” he said. “They both did such a fantastic job explaining, like telling a story of who they were and what they came to be, so that was really fun to see and Adam Sandler absolutely crushed it…I was like giggling in my seat.”
Kittle revealed that he was invited along with his parents, his wife, and his wife’s mother.
“The entire thing was fantastic,” he said. “I had so much fun. I somehow got really lucky, and they invited my parents Bruce and Jan and Claire’s mom Shelly just because they met at Tight End U.”
“Bruce and Travis have had a relationship since we started Tight End U back in 2021, and Travis likes Bruce a lot. But then the moms got invited because of the Tight End U last year where they hung out with Taylor for a long time.”
Kittle said that because of their close relationships with Swift and Kelce’s family, the event became a family outing for them. Kittle also got to meet people at the wedding that he would’ve never thought he could meet. He was surprised to know how many of those people were also 49ers fans.
Will This Be Travis Kelce’s Last Season?
After the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a heartbreaking loss last season and were eliminated in the regular season, rumors started floating around about Kelce’s retirement. The three-time Super Bowl champion put all rumors to rest in March, announcing that he’ll return for his 14th NFL season.
However, the retirement talks are still not over for the 36-year-old. Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter might’ve spilled Kelce’s secret in his recent Instagram post.
“Know the GOAT is preparing for THE LAST DANCE,” he wrote on a picture with Kelce.
Only Travis Kelce knows if this will be his last season. He’ll be more concerned with sending his team back into the playoffs.
