San Francisco 49ers quarterback Fred Warner is recovering from a devastating ankle injury he suffered three months ago. Meanwhile, her wife Sydney, who recently welcomed their second child, a daughter named Bella Nicole Warner, is going through her postpartum journey.
On Wednesday, Sydney offered fans an intimate look into life at home with Warner as both of them are recovering from different conditions. Sydney shared a candid photo, capturing a cozy living room scene in which Fred is resting on a couch with recovery equipment nearby, while the foreground shows postpartum recovery essentials. She captioned the story:

Sydney had been open about her journey as she has previously encouraged other moms to stay active and mindful with movement during pregnancy.
When Warner suffered the ankle injury on Oct. 12, it was thought to be a season-ending injury. However, the linebacker returned to practice this week as the 49ers prepare for the divisional round game against the Seattle Seahawks. The franchise has opened its 21-day activation window, meaning he could be cleared to play in the upcoming playoff games. The 49ers defeated defending champions Philadelphia Eagles 23-19 in the wild card game.
“Just so grateful, blessed to be back. I think, obviously, when all this happened, I didn’t really think about the possibility of returning in-season,” Warner told reporters Wednesday. “But the way things progressed, and being able to have this opportunity to be back with my teammates and have a chance of helping them win this week and so on and so forth, that’s my only goal going forward.
“[The doctor] said yeah, it’s a possibility. The first six weeks when you’re non-weight-bearing, those are all kind of the same. And then after that, you can manipulate the way that you rehab going forward aggressively – safely, of course – to ultimately get back to this point, so that’s kind of what we did. Still got a little ways to go until being fully cleared to be step out there in a game.”

Fred Warner and Sydney became parents for the second time, as just one week ago, they announced the arrival of their newborn daughter, Bella Nicole Warner. Sydney shared pictures from the hospital, highlighting the support she received from the 49ers linebacker.
