Former LSU star wide receiver and NFL veteran Odell Beckham Jr. could potentially return to the league as a free agent, looking for his next possible destination.
Currently representing the Wildcats FFC as a receiver at the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football classic, a non-contact variant of American football, he professed his willingness to come back to the NFL.
In an interview with Kay Adams, Odell Beckham Jr. revealed which franchise he would like to be a part of if given a chance ahead of 2026, and it’s none other than the New York Giants, the team that gave him his very first break in the big league. He also seemed keen on potentially linking up with quarterback Jaxson Dart, provided he gets the opportunity to be a part of the Giants.
“If that opportunity presents itself, I would love to do that. Be excited about that. He’s [Jaxson Dart] a good dude. He’s young, and he likes to dance. I like all that. So he looks like he likes to have fun. If I get that opportunity”, Odell Beckham Jr stated (0:42).
Part of the reason why Odell is out of the NFL scheme of things is because of his injury-ridden career, which included a torn ACL in Super Bowl LVI back in February 2022 during his stint with the Los Angeles Rams. This injury came on the backdrop of another ACL tear that he sustained back in 2020 when he was with the Cleveland Browns.
Ever since undergoing multiple knee surgeries, there has been a steep decline in his game time, with him only playing a total of 37 games over the course of three years. He last played for the Miami Dolphins back in 2024, where he threw for just 55 yards while averaging 6.1 with no touchdowns to his name.
How Did Odell Beckham Jr. Fare For The New York Giants?
On the back of a successful college football stint with the LSU Tigers, the New York Giants snapped up the wide receiver as their 12th overall first-round NFL pick back in 2014.
After spending half a decade with the New York-based franchise, Odell garnered a total of 5,476 yards whilst also amassing 44 touchdowns in total before moving bases to Cleveland, where he spent three seasons from 2019 to 2021
With head coach John Harbaugh now at the helm for the Giants, a potential Ravens reunion could very well be on the table.
