Could Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby be on the move this offseason? It seems like there could be a chance that happens.
Crosby’s 2025 season ended in controversy as he was shut down by the team for its last two games of the season. Crosby didn’t agree with the team’s decision and reportedly stormed out of the building during a meeting with the team brass towards the end of the season.
With an offseason that will be filled with speculation and potential trade talk, Crosby posted a cryptic message of an image of Kobe Bryant shooting a basketball with the caption, “the work starts early.” Crosby wrote, “Brick by brick,” with the image posted.
Fans of other teams had their fun in Crosby’s replies by showing their expression of wanting him on their teams.
“Come to New England,” one fan wrote.
“We need you as a Lion!!!,” a fan said.
“There’s only so much you can do when you’re on a team with very little talent…should’ve signed with the Lions,” a Lions fan replied, who wanted Crosby on his team.
Maxx Crosby Contract Situation
With there being much talk about the Las Vegas Raiders potentially trading Maxx Crosby, is it realistic for them to move him given his current contract? Yes.
The Raiders would take on just $5 million of dead cap if they were to trade him before the third day of the new league year, as he is due $29 million on 3/13/2026. Whoever inherits Crosby would take on $30 million this season and will have $28 million in team options.
The offseason is right around the corner, and this is certainly a situation to follow heading into the offseason.
