Dexter Lawrence’s New York Giants have seen plenty of change over the last 12 months. The addition of John Harbaugh and Jaxson Dart has the potential to change everything for the franchise. However, for Lawrence to see the team become what it needs to be, he needs the team’s help in the form of a better deal, or he’s out.
According to a Monday report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on X, Lawrence has decided to make his message clear by skipping out on OTAs. Not only that, but the all-pro tackle has requested a trade.

#5 – Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs lagged behind much of the league in sacks in 2025. While most of the team’s needs are on the offensive side of the ball, adding Dexter Lawrence could make sense to help shore up a pass rush still set to feature Chris Jones, who isn’t getting any younger.
#4 – Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens bowed out of the move for Maxx Crosby and instead settled for Trey Hendrickson. Many believe that something could still be done to help the pass rush in addition to Hendrickson. Adding Dexter Lawrence could be the solution if the price is right, as it’s clear that Baltimore isn’t interested in parting with its first-round picks.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are entering a win-now moment after one of the best seasons in franchise history. The unit that held the team back was the team’s pass rush, with the sixth-lowest sack total in the NFL in 2025. The New York Jets would be perhaps the most convenient option for Dexter Lawrence, who most likely wouldn’t need to move. The Cincinnati Bengals finished with one of the least productive defenses in the NFL in 2025, and after letting Trey Hendrickson out the door earlier this offseason, the unit is set to trend further down. However, adding Dexter Lawrence would give the team a chance to stop the bleeding as the team heads into an NFL draft that is likely to lean heavily on defense.
