The Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal is still getting bigger as new details about their relationship keep surfacing. TMZ has been doing most of the heavy lifting recently by digging in for more information on them.
Earlier this month, the media outlet published a report claiming that Vrabel and Russini rented a boat together in June 2021. They spent a few hours on the boat, and Russini was pregnant at the time with her first child.
Nearly a week later, TMZ is back again with another scoop. This time, they have released a picture of Vrabel and Russini at a 2022 Super Bowl party. In the picture, Russini can be seen with her arm on Vrabel’s shoulder while he leans in to hear what she is saying.
Is it an inappropriate or a jaw-dropping picture? No. But TMZ, as the internet calls it, is “milking it.” Vrabel and Russini have been criticized and trashed for engaging in an alleged affair, and that has been established for a while now.
But their controversy is the biggest thing in football right now, and the 3 million views on the post within hours prove that. However, the Vrabel-Russini saga is getting old and irrelevant for fans, including Dave Portnoy.
The Barstool Sports founder responded to the TMZ post on X, claiming that since they were at a party, possibly surrounded by loud music, standing close to hear each other wasn’t inappropriate.
“Super Bowl parties are loud. It’s hard to hear. Find a new slant,” he wrote.
It’s highly unlikely that this is the last we’ll see from TMZ on this subject. And then there are people like Portnoy who are already tired of this topic.
Dave Portnoy Criticized TMZ for ‘Harassing’ Mike Vrabel
Last month, TMZ posted a video of a man approaching Mike Vrabel at an airport to ask about the Dianna Russini scandal. Initially, the man asked genuine questions to Vrabel, including how he was doing amid all the drama.
Vrabel responded to his first few questions while walking toward his car. The man kept following him throughout the airport while asking him if he would step down as head coach of the New England Patriots and asking questions about his family.
“What the f**k! Who hired this guy? The Jets? This isn’t watergate. Give me a break. This is harassment plain and simple! TMZ trying to make up for the fact they got scooped by Page 6! This is disgusting journalism. I’m sick. Not American!” he wrote on X.
NFL legend Shannon Sharpe also spoke on the Vrabel-Russini scandal. He said that the affair is a “moral issue” and that the Patriots shouldn’t fire him because he didn’t break any rules.
