Cleveland Browns and Milwaukee Bucks owner Jimmy Haslam has now overseen two blockbuster trades in the span of weeks. Myles Garrett was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, and Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.
While Myles Garrett’s move came as a surprise to fans, as there were no rumors or leaks before the big reveal, Antetokounmpo’s move carried a softer blow as the Bucks star had been mired in rumors for quite some time now.

According to reports, Haslam played a part in choosing Antetokounmpo’s destination based on the fact that getting Jaylen Brown in return would not be in the best interest of the team, as the Celtics star could leave after his contract expires next season.
Myles Garrett Chasing NFL Greatness Led To Possible Turmoil In The Locker Room
According to a report from Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot, several defensive players in the Cleveland locker room had qualms about the LA star because of his pursuit of the NFL’s sacks record last season.
Mary Kay Cabot said:
“I think there was a reticence on the part of some of these other players to steal a little bit of Myles’ production. I think some of them might not have even wanted to arrive there in a tie and take the half a sack away from him. Everyone knew that he was going for the sack record.”
This came after another report from Cabot, which revealed Garrett’s teammates taking issue with his trade request before the 2025 season. Cabot claimed that while the defensive superstar was well-respected by his teammates, he wasn’t “necessarily loved.”
These locker room dynamics could have played a crucial part in Garrett’s readiness to waive his no-trade clause to be teammates with Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua on the West Coast.
