“They Are Gonna Think He’s Crazy”: Fans React as Brandon Aiyuk Continues to Fuel Commanders Speculation With New Video

Brandon Aiyuk posted a new social media video that appeared to further hint at his desire to join the Washington Commanders.

Aiyuk remains under contract with the 49ers, but has repeatedly showed interest to join Washington.

Yesterday he had shared another story showing interest to join the team: “If I’m crazy or if I’m cappin’, tell them boys to cut me today. And I’ll sign with the commanders tomorrow, and we’ll see who’s cappin’.”

“What’s up, everybody? It’s your boy. I’m back in action and back on tour this fall,” Aiyuk said in the video. “Go to Commanders.com to get your tickets and watch us rock out.”

Fans felt the latest video was unnecessary and doesn’t help him in any way.

“Yes the Commanders need a wr but he should be shopping himself to all the other NFL teams as well. They are gonna think he’s crazy,” one fan wrote.

“Buddy putting any work in or just making videos? Genuinely curious.” – another fan questioned

“He is not on the Commanders yet. Does he understand that they have to trade for him,” another fan wrote.

Some 49ers supporters also expressed frustration for the social media drama.

“As a 49er fan it’s kind of embarrassing that the 49ers media keeps entertaining the side show off the field,” one user posted.

Another one added, “He’s just proving to every team why you wouldn’t want him in the locker room. Dumb.”

    Brandon Aiyuk’s Future Remains Uncertain

After signing a four-year, $120 million extension in 2024, Aiyuk suffered a torn ACL during the season and later had the remaining guaranteed money in his contract voided after reportedly missing mandatory rehabilitation requirements. Since then, the speculation around his departure has continued to grow.

However 49ers have no urgency to release the former first-round pick. Reports indicate the 49ers would prefer to trade Aiyuk rather than allow him to hit free agency.

Whether the Commanders want him remains uncertain. While Washington could benefit from adding another experienced receiver alongside Terry McLaurin, no deal has been made public.

Until that changes, Aiyuk’s social media activity will continue to create debates in the NFL world.
