While the Denver Broncos are moving on to the AFC championship game against the New England Patriots, their starting quarterback, Bo Nix, is not. His season effectively ended when he suffered a fracture in his right ankle, which required surgery. He cannot play anymore, even if the Broncos do make it to the Super Bowl, breaking many Broncos fans’ hearts in the process.
This has been a sad turn of events for Nix, who led the Broncos to become the No. 1 team in the AFC. As he got treated after injuring his ankle, Nix’s wife, Izzy, snuck in a photo and had an emotional message for her husband as he struggles through his ankle injury.
“I snuck this picture because I wanted to remember this moment forever,” Izzy wrote on her Instagram story. “The joy, followed by the heartbreak, followed by watching each teammate and coach come to this little corner and sit by Bo’s side. God could have placed us anywhere, and I’m so grateful he chose Denver. He is the perfect Author of Bo’s story and we cannot wait to see what He has in store for this team — We’ll be on the front row, cheering the loudest!!! 🧡”

She also added a Bible verse from 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 that encourages the reader to not lose hope, even in times of suffering, which is appropriate for this time.
With Nix now out, his backup, Jarrett Stidham, will now be the one to lead the Denver Broncos to a possible Super Bowl 60 appearance. But first, they have to get through Drake Maye and the New England Patriots next week.
Sean Payton Believes Bo Nix Will Go Through His Injury Through Faith
While this is certainly bad news for Bo Nix, Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton believes he will get through it. Nix is a very religious man and Payton says that his faith in God will help the quarterback get through this challenge.
As was hinted by his wife with the Bible verse, Nix has a very strong Christian faith and that could be the key to him being able to get over the frustration of not being able to lead his team to the Super Bowl.
